This week’s theme at Journey into Prayer was: ‘What’s on your heart?’
The great thing is, we can be really honest with God and tell him exactly what is on our heart, whether it’s making us miserable or puzzled, fearful or happy.
Reflect
Take a look at these people and see what they had on their heart to say to God:-
- Moses (Exodus 33:12-19)
- Hannah (1 Samuel 1:9-18)
- David (1 Chronicles 17:16-27)
- Jesus (Luke 10:21)
Have a go…
What’s on your heart right now to say to God? Go ahead.
Now pause a minute… Perhaps God has put something on your heart!
Something or someone God has given you a burden to pray for?
Could it be that God is birthing a ministry of intercession in you?
Go deeper:
Who is our great intercessor? See Hebrews 4:14-16 & 7:25
Who else can you think of in the Bible who interceded for others?
Mmm…perhaps we need to find out more about intercession…?
