Reflect: “Salvation is free but discipleship will cost you your life” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus says to his disciples:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The Greek word that’s translated ‘make disciples’ is mathēteuō, which comes from the root mathētēs, meaning ‘learner’ or ‘pupil’. In ancient Greece, this word typically denoted someone who was an apprentice to a trade like masonry or shipbuilding.

We are all being formed. That’s life. So the question isn’t, are you being formed? It’s, who or what are you being formed into?
We can trust that God is going to bring people into our lives to experience Christ in us so that we can be like a light guiding them to God.
Are there specific people whom you feel God has brought into your life so that they might know him?
