On Sunday we talked a little bit about the coming General Election, and how the Apostle Paul exhorted believers to pray for those in authority, and how us playing our part in the democratic process is an important expression of this. I recommend the link that Jane sent out yesterday as a helpful way of engaging: Party Manifestos – engaGE24 | A project of CARE
However, the reality is that God rules on high and He is the Throne behind the power and, as Christians, it is God we should be lifting up through our worship, and that is what we focussed on at Sanctuary.
That’s enough theorising for now though – here’s the practical.
Below is the image that we shared on the screen on Sunday, taken from the Hubble telescope, with some verses from Isaiah.
A little further down the page is a song, Hallelujah (Be High And Lifted Up) by Ben Cantelon. And below that are the lyrics. So click the link to the song, look at the image Emma put together for us, read the lyrics, rinse, and repeat… Let me know how you get on.
Hallelujah (Be High & Lifted Up) by Ben Cantelon:
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You are worthy of our praise
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You are worthy of our praise
Be high and lifted up
Be high and lifted up
Be high and lifted up, Jesus
It’s You we glorify
It’s You we’re lifting high
Your name be glorified
