On Sunday, we looked at a passage from Jude. Watch the overview of this book below.

Read

‘But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the centre of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven. And now to him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating—to our one God, our only Saviour, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time. Yes.’  – Jude 1:20-25

Reflect

The glory, majesty, strength and rule of God are unimaginable. It’s beyond our wildest dreams. Yet He allows us to freely experience it and come under it. In fact, He’s the one who keeps us standing and encourages us to celebrate with Him. Worship and prayer aren’t something we do at God, but with Him in response to the fact that He is already singing over us, interceding on our behalf. We get the opportunity to sit in the safety and comfort of the Father, the freedom of Jesus, and partner with the Spirit in building each other and ourselves up.

So, how do we respond to this Holiness? What does it look like for you to build yourself up with the Spirit this week? Will you make space to be amazed by His holiness afresh and choose to submit to his strength and rule?

Go Deeper

The overwhelming reality of this, which we explored at the Celebration, is how the ruler of the universe doesn’t want to rule alone. We are invited to rule with Him and build His kingdom. Watch the video below to push deeper into this truth.
